Danfoss also innovates best-in-class circular products as the default when developing, producing, sourcing, and selling to deliver new value propositions. They focus on offering a leading employee experience that values and respects diversity and inclusion to attract and retain top talent that can lead the green transition.

“In addition, Danfoss is now working on plans to transition the company’s energy consumption to renewable sources by the latest 2030, the most prominent sources of green energy being solar farms in our North American region and wind farms mainly in Denmark and Germany. Danfoss plans to power all its North American facilities with solar energy by 2025”, says Peter and continues, “In terms of green energy, we continue toward our long-term commitment to purchase 100% renewable electricity by 2030. By purchasing green electricity where available, we can make the fastest and most significant contribution to climate action”.

Scanfil is proud to help Danfoss to create a sustainable world
Scanfil has been Danfoss’ trusted electronics manufacturing partner since 2017.
Renewable energy, i.e., electricity created by wind, solar, hydropower, or other renewable energy sources, might bring quality issues to the electrical grid. One minute wind doesn’t blow, or the sun doesn’t shine. This creates volatility in the power grid and variances in the stream. Quality issues of the power stream can be solved with suitable filters.

“When you hear the word “filter”, you immediately think of coffee, tea, or even air ventilation. However, these aren’t the only things that can be filtered. Unwanted variances and disturbances caused, for example, by renewable energy production, industrial automation, or variable speed drives can be filtered out from electricity.” says Jonna Kannosto, Marketing and Communications Director of Merus Power.

“In addition, the electric network needs stabilization support when the amount of renewable energy production increases. Our Merus Energy Storage Solution is the perfect remedy for this as it enables the easy integration of the most sustainable energy production technologies and stabilizes the grid. There is an increasing demand for both filtering and energy storage solutions as sustainable energy production capacity is expected to at least triple by 2030.”

Merus Power designs, manufactures, and sells Finnish innovative energy storage and power quality solutions as well as services. With its operations, Merus Power enables the growth of renewable energy in power grids and improves the energy efficiency of society.

Scanfil is a trusted partner in energy quality solutions

Scanfil has been Merus Power’s electronics manufacturing partner for two years and serves Merus Power by Sievi factory in Finland.

“Our partnership with Merus Power started in 2019. Throughout the whole time, seamless and open communication has been in the important role of our relationship,” explains Jussi Mökkönen, Sales Manager at Scanfil. “The importance of a relationship had become one of the key success factors in 2020. In collaboration with Merus Power, we have been able to give long orders to semiconductor wholesalers who have improved our success in a tight market.”

Scanfil looks forward to expanding its partnership with Merus Power and helping them tap the huge market potential of their state-of-art solutions for energy storage and efficiency.

More about Merus Power’s Harmonic Filters: https://www.meruspower.fi/products/active-harmonic-filters/

Flying vehicles, mega bridges connecting cities and skyscrapers, super-connected street experiences enabling smooth travelling, and underground spaces for transportation and business. This all might sound like science fiction, but all this and more is what the future might bring us.

“We at TKE are moved by what moves people. We provide better access and new ways to travel longer distances with clear solutions for increasingly complex infrastructures for growing cities” states Juan Martin Sanabria, Cluster Manager Electrics and Electronics at TKE.

TKE has two megatrends that drive its business: urbanisation and sustainability. They enable urbanisation in a sustainable way by adding energy and time-saving technology for the benefit of the people and society.

“Ropes are used in all traditional elevators. They wear out, add weight, need space, and limit design. Our new MULTI is the world’s first cable-less elevator and it moves both vertically and horizontally” explains Mr. Sanabria about the ground-breaking solution. ”It can interconnect buildings and enable seamless moving experience in future cities”

MULTI gives architects a new kind of freedom to create and re-shape our urban environment.

Scanfil is TKE’s trusted electronics manufacturing partner

Scanfil has 40 years of experience in demanding industrial customers and also decades of experience in the elevator industry. Customers are different, but quality demands are universal.

“Quality is the key to everything. TKE recognizes that in order to be a world-class company, we need to have world-class suppliers. We look to partner ourselves with only those suppliers that produce a world-class product conforming to requirements and delivered on time”, Mr. Sanabria opens up the decision-making in selecting suppliers. “In selecting Scanfil, we appreciated their strong sense of quality, commitment, and their sustainability concept”

Scanfil drives organic growth in Central Europe and especially in Germany. Andreas Bohner is Global Sales Manager responsible for the Central European sales and also TKE as a customer.

“TKE is a good example of how we can utilise our global factory footprint and industry knowledge for the customer benefit. TKE operates in over 100 countries across the globe and we can support their operations closely in three continents”, says Mr. Bohner at Scanfil plc, Germany. ”Our partnership dates two years back and we both look actively into new opportunities to deepen our collaboration”

TKE is currently served at Scanfil’s Sieradz factory in Poland where we make PCBAs & Boxbuild. Sieradz serves mainly TKE’s factories in Germany, Brazil, and Spain. In addition to the existing collaboration, there are discussions regarding partnerships in prototyping and R&D.

“Scanfil has good knowledge about the elevator industry which is highly beneficial for us. We don’t have to explain to them what we do and aim at. We are always on the same page”, says Mr. Sanabria.

TK Elevator is formerly known as ThyssenKrupp’s elevator business. It became a separate company in 2020 and it is the world’s fifth-largest elevator manufacturing and service company. It aims to create new ways to travel longer distances and clear solutions for complex infrastructures.
