Once the quote was approved, the New Product Introduction process to operations was quite straightforward and fast to execute.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, as the OEMs have outsourced more and more of their operations and lost the natural connection between development and manufacturing, we see that the road from development to manufacturing looks very different and requires a very different approach from Scanfil.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The services that our customers need in order to regain this lost knowledge to embed it into their development process are typically bundled under the term Design For eXcellence (DFX). DFX is an umbrella term that covers almost an infinite amount of different disciplines such as\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>DFM: Design for Manufacturing&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DFA: Design for Assembly&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DFT: Design for Test&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This shift and need for additional services during the product life cycle is also driving a change in the OEMs business logic.&nbsp; The way of working is much less transactional and instead focused on long-term partnerships built on trust.
